Educational Experiences

We can:

  • Utilise our farm buildings to provide an educational base for outdoor learning opportunities;

  • Make links to a variety of subjects in the national curriculum (thanks to Rach’s role as a primary school teacher in a nearby village school) through a range of our topics such as: farm tours, habitats & conservation, food for thought, wonderful wool and

    seasonal art;

  • Provide ready-made risk assessment documents for our venue and activities;

  • Work alongside the Country Trust to develop an education programme and foster links with schools from high social and economic disadvantage;

  • Use the farm as a location to offer the John Muir Award;

  • Signpost schools to funding and grants that are available to them to cover the costs of a paid educational trip.
